          ਅੱਜ 'ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਿਧਵਾ  ਦਿਵਸ' ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਆਓ ਆਪਾਂ ਵੀ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਓਨਾ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪੋ  ਆਪਣਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਈਏ । ਇਸ ਆਸ਼ੇ  ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

International Widows’ day

        Every year International Widows ' Day occurs on 23rd June. It was introduced to address the poverty  and injustice faced by the widows and their children throughout  the world. 

      International Widows Day works to encourage action in achieving full rights for widows, highlighting the need for more research and statistics into violence, discrimination and poverty suffered by widows and develop policies and programmes to address the problem.

  The ultimate goal of the day is to develop resources and policy to empower widows and allow them to have access to education, work, healthcare and lives free of violence and abuse. Enabling them to create a life for themselves and their children following the death of their husband and ending a cycle of poverty and abuse.

        For this day ,  I have written Poem  in Punjabi and video prepared with the help of my son S Bhupinder Singh. S Jagdeep Singh Kirat World has designed this poem and video of the same has been edited by respected friend Dr. Pritam Singh Saini of USA. Sh. Vishu Bedi has posted it on Website.
